Rabbi Scott Bolton, Head of School, Reuben Gittelman Hebrew Day School, New City, NY

For an educational leader, time away from school for conferences and professional development has to matter and advance the cause. The Leadership Conference in Teaneck connected me with the right colleagues and advanced my thinking about meeting 21st Century challenges. It put student achievement and learning community engagement front and center, so that I could go back to my school and help my school move forward.
As a head of a Jewish day school, I valued learning from experts who helped frame the educational challenges and opportunities before us. The Leadership Conference focused on putting day school excellence in focus. It deepened my thinking about moving educational theory to practice, and the collaboration we began as Jewish educators from a variety of backgrounds deepened our ability to unify.
